Author Talk: Murder on the Largo

Zollinger Library will host authors Jerry Thompson and Helen Cress at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, in Gurley Hall room 1124 as they present the new book, 鈥淢urder on the Largo: Henry Coleman and New Mexico鈥檚 Last Frontier.鈥 Originally written by Eleanor Williams, Jerry edited and annotated the final version, which is now available for everyone to enjoy. Helen Cress, the daughter of Williams, has also added to this publication, bringing the story full circle for her family. Henry Coleman was a notorious outlaw in western New Mexico, much like Billy the Kid was in Lincoln County. Was he a murderer or a misunderstood man of courage and honor? Henry Coleman was one of the very last of the bad men of New Mexico.
